Christian Education

Christian education and the Nursery program are currently on hold.

At Zion we strive to provide a welcoming environment full of fun as we learn about God and the Bible and how it applies to our lives. Children's, Youth, and Adult Ministries meet weekly beginning the first Sunday after Labor Day in September and continue through the Sunday before Memorial Day in May.

Nursery

Our staffed nursery is available during both the 10:00 a.m. service and during the Christian Education time for infants and pre-school children.  Since playtime is a very important part of a child's development, a large selection of toys and an open area are provided for children to share and play together while under the supervision of our caring staff.

Children are part of the worship service each Sunday as they are invited to come forward to hear a special message from Pastor David.

Birth through Pre-K

On the first Thursday of each month, families with children up through pre-K are invited to gather for dinner, enjoy some playtime, read a story with Pastor David, and do a craft. The evening lasts for about an hour to an hour and a half and is very informal.

Kindergarten through Grade Six

We meet weekly with the exception of holidays and school breaks. We alternate weekly between a Christian craft Sunday and then we "Dig In" to the Bible with a lesson, video, games, science experiments, and more the following Sunday. Having children explore and learn about the Bible while having fun is what we strive for.

Grades Seven through Twelve

Meets weekly to discuss issues pertinent to teenagers and our community while using the Bible as a background for decision making.

Parents are welcome to attend all Children's Ministry Programs with their children.  Parents are also encouraged to volunteer in areas that complement their God given talents.
